Sonu Baits

  • Sonubaits Sweet F1 Dark

    0 out of 5

Part of the massively successful F1 range, F1 Dark is the perfect mix to use either on its own or to darken down other groundbaits.

It is one of our most versatile groundbaits because it performs equally as well through the warmer months as it does when the colour drops out of the water over winter.

Developed by Des Shipp for catching F1’s and commercial carp F1 has proven to be a revolution in modern fishmeal based groundbaits. It has also proven to be very successful with skimmers too. Since its release it has been the groundbait of choice by many top anglers and proved devastating in many matches at many different venues. By adding our unique blend of sweet attraction to a blend of fishmeals and crushed pellets we have created a groundbait which starts catching from the whistle and with prolonged holding power ensure the fish stay in your swim.

It is easy to mix and binds well to a method feeder and breaks down quickly, this is all down to the ingredients used. The fine fishmeal particles create an inactive mix when dampened which is perfect for a rapid breakdown of feed around the hook. It can also be balled, or cupped in as slop.

F1 Dark is part of a bigger range including hookbaits, feed pellets, pastes and liquids which can all be used by themselves or in conjunction with other baits.

    MIXING GUIDELINES

F1 Dark is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2 pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then for best results; to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a riddle and it is ready to use.

When fishing sun and wind may dry the groundbait out a little, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it does dry out just add a little more water and mix again.

  • Sonubaits Supercrush Expander

    0 out of 5

Used by many of the UK’s top match anglers this versatile groundbait has a number of uses.

Made from pure top grade crushed expander pellets it is ground slowly to create a very consistent fine mix. Because of the fine particles it creates a very slow sinking groundbait that is perfect for a sloppy cloud when fed through a pole pot, a great attractor without filling the fish up. Because of its fine texture it also binds well so can be cupped in as a ball or even fed in the margin which forms a fine carpet across the bottom which holds fish for hours, and it can also be made into a paste for pole fishing.

Lee Kerry (England International) says “Crushed expanders are my guilty pleasure, I use this mix in the margins on its own, or added to any mix when fishing in open water, it’s like the brown crumb of fishmeal groundbaits, a must add!”

    MIXING GUIDELINES

Supercrush Expander can be mixed in a number of different ways to create groundbaits that perform differently.  For most situations empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2 pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then for best results; to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, pass the groundbait through a riddle and it is ready to use. However if you want a sloppy cloud mix then continue to add water till the right consistency is reached.

When fishing sun and wind may dry the groundbait out a little, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it does dry out just add a little more water and mix again.

Sonubaits lead the way by being the first to introduce a sweet fishmeal groundbait designed for F1’s and skimmers. The original and best.

It is easy to mix and binds well to a method feeder and breaks down quickly, this is all down to the ingredients used. The fine fishmeal particles create an inactive mix when dampened which is perfect for a rapid breakdown of feed around the hook. It can also be balled, or cupped in as slop.

  • Sonubaits Super Crumb Bream

    0 out of 5

With the resurgence of silverfish fishing on natural venues and commercial fisheries over winter, we have decided that it is time to produce four new groundbaits specifically for silvers. We have developed these groundbaits in conjunction with some of the best silverfish anglers in the UK including Des Shipp, Lee Kerry, Steve Saunders, Mick Vials, Michael Buchwalder & Will Freeman.

We took a fresh look at the market and decided to produce four new groundbaits all of which could be mixed straight from the bag or mixed with the others in the range to tailor a groundbait for a specific day on a specific venue.

Being able to mix them with each other was of great importance to all of our anglers as natural venues change and therefore the groundbait needs to change to suit the conditions and the methods on the day.

In general to create a heavier mix for slower break down in deeper water use Supercrumb River to strengthen the mix, for a darker mix with less feed increase the amount of Supercrumb Black, for a more active, lighter mix increase the amount of Supercrumb Lake and for a mix which is sweeter with a higher food content increase the amount of Supercrumb Bream, the possibilities really are endless.

    SUPERCRUMB BREAM

A golden groundbait perfect for bream, skimmers and hybrids. It can be mixed up straight from the bag for use on a feeder or balling in on the pole. It has a high feed content including breadcrumb, ground maize, molasses meal and milled tiger nuts for sweetness.

It binds well so it acts as a good carrier for other baits such as sweetcorn, casters and chopped worm and is a slow acting dormant mix ensuring it stays on the bottom.

Tommy Pickering (England Feeder Team Manager) says “When we started looking into developing a traditional range of breadcrumb based groundbaits I knew they had to be better than anything I had used before for them to be successful. The development of Supercrumb Bream was really interesting, working out what they wanted to eat and how to formulate the groundbait. The sweetness of the groundbait was really important and that comes from the tigernut flour and molasses which also helps to make the mix bind well. We were able to draw on my experience of fishing all over Europe, learning what works best and by combining this knowledge we were able to put together a groundbait which I firmly believe is the best groundbait to use for catching Bream from natural venues that aren’t dominated by fishmeal baits.”

    MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Supercrumb Bream is simple to mix. Empty the 1kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 1-pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait.

We have developed these groundbaits in conjunction with some of the best silver fish anglers in the UK including Des Shipp, Lee Kerry, Steve Saunders, Mick Vials, Michael Buchwalder & Will Freeman.

We took a fresh look at the market and decided to produce four new groundbaits all of which could be mixed straight from the bag or mixed with the others in the range to tailor a groundbait for a specific day on a specific venue.

Supercrumb Black Lake is a very versatile groundbait this can be used on the pole or feeder. It is quite active especially when mixed on the dry side ensuring continuous action. Perfect for all silver fish in lakes. When freshly mixed the groundbait and its particles come out of the feeder easily creating a good bed of bait and with the inclusion of lots of hemp, coconut and coriander this is the perfect combination for roach, and skimmers on natural lakes. Thisw Black version is perfect on clearer venues, or when used to darken off a mix.

Lee Kerry (England International) says “Supercrumb Lake are two of the most versatile groundbaits I use, it is my first choice for fishing natural venues for skimmers, roach and hybrids. It is perfect for fishing up to about 6 foot deep, anything deeper and I tend to mix it with Supercrumb River and soil to make it heavier and bind more tightly.”

    MIXING GUIDELINES

Supercrumb Black Lake is simple to mix. Empty the 1kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 1 pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. F1 FEED

PART OF THE FEED PELLETS RANGE

Sonubaits F1 is the original and best sweet fishmeal, the flavour combination of a unique sweet additive and the added blend of fishmeals has proven to be a winner with all species of fish; especially F1’s Carp and skimmers.

Sonubaits F1 created a revolution in sweet fishmeals and still remains unrivalled.

2mm F1 Feed Pellets make a great pellet for the Method Feeder and are easy to prepare. Simply pour the pellets into a bait tub and just cover them with lake water so the water sits level with the top of the pellets. Then pop a lid on and leave them to absorb the water, shaking them every 5 minutes to make sure the water is evenly distributed through the pellets. After about 30 minutes the pellets will have absorbed all the water and will be the perfect consistency for using on a Method Feeder.

4mm F1 Feed Pellets are ideal for use in a Pellet Feeder and are easy to prepare. Simply pour the pellets into a bait tub and just cover them with lake water so the water sits level with the top of the pellets. Then pop a lid on and leave them to absorb the water, shaking them every 5 minutes to make sure the water is evenly distributed through the pellets. After about 30 minutes the pellets will have absorbed all the water and will be the perfect consistency for using on in a Pellet Feeder.

6mm F1 Feed Pellets are most commonly used for catapulting when pole or waggler fishing. Because they are uniform in shape and have a high density they can be fired further and more accurately, they don’t require any preparation and are ready to use straight from the bag.

    PRO EXPANDER PELLETS

    BRAND NEW RANGE

Throw away your bait pump! The Sonubaits Pro Expander pellets don’t need any bait pumps to create the perfect expander pellet.

Due to a special process that is undertaken right here at Sonubaits HQ, we can bring you an expander pellet that no longer needs to be pumped for every pellet to sink! This process allows an ingredient exclusive to Sonubaits to be infused through the pellet.

These pellets were designed by England International and world-class angler, Des Shipp. Des wanted an expander pellet that would stay on the hook well, and that every pellet you soak, created a useable hookbait, which wasn’t the case with most expander pellets on the market. After lots of testing, differing processes of pre-pumping, and fishing tests, we finally managed to create an expander pellet that Des was happy using for all of his soft pellet fishing.

“Expanders can be a real pain when you’re fishing. Some spilt, some fall off your hook too easily. I just wanted an easy-to-use expander, and that’s what I now have!” remarks Des.

    PELLET PREPARATION

So just how easy are Pro Expander pellets to prepare?

Simply place your required number of pellets into a bait tub, cover with water, and leave overnight! When you get to your peg, you’ll have perfect expander pellets. It couldn’t be easier.
